Hi, My Name is Kim Kyung Yeon. AKA Halmina.

"Hal-mo-ni; 할머니" is the Korean word for grandmother. It is a name that every Korean grandmother goes by and the standard should have been no different for Kyung Yeon. Her eldest granddaughter, however, mispronounced Halmoni and instead, "Halmina; 할미나" was born. Halmina is the name adopted by all her granddaughters and is uniquely hers.

Halmina is a woman of many hidden and not-so-hidden talents. She draws, paints, restores, sews, crochets, and styles. She shares these skills openly with those she loves and often surprises them with more secret talents as time goes by.

She is a wonderful wife, mother of four, grandmother of five, and friend to countless. Her art is inspired by all chapters of her life, of the things she has seen and felt. And, in turn, her art inspires all those around her.

Known for her timeless style, her contagious laugh, and the wise words and 돈 she imparts to her granddaughters for every occasion, Halmina is a formidable woman.
